112 UFO Sightings In New Jersey In 2017
Space aliens may have a bigger presence in New Jersey than you think. Read what people have reportedly seen over the past year.

New Jersey is not known as a "UFO" hotspot. But if you listen to the National UFO Reporting Center (NUFORC), you may feel otherwise.
New Jersey had 112 reported sightings of strange objects in 2017, including repeated strange sightings in Toms River and Brick, plus reports from New Brunswick, Parsippany, Berkeley Township and elsewhere.
The most recent sighting reported to NUFORC was Dec. 19 in Jersey City, when one observer saw an oval-shaped object during a 30-second period.

"WOW NYC UFO SPOTTED ON WEBCAM!," the anonymous observer said.
The sitings made their way to a list compiled by the National UFO Reporting Center, an independent organization that's been around since 1974. The group, which has assisted police departments when people report their observations to 911, has put together a list of more than 90,000 sightings around the world.

New Jersey's weird sightings over the past year included these observations from residents:
- Califon, Oct. 4, 8:43 p.m. - A craft hovered overhead, showing amber, orange lights for a few minutes before completely disappearing, like it had be "vacuumed up into thin air."
- Manalapan, Sept.. 4, 8:45 p.m. - A triangle-shaped object appeared for 5-10 seconds. It was a silent, black triangle aircraft without lights, seen traveling through the sky at night.
- Cape May, Aug. 19, 10 p.m. A formation showing blue, purple, green and red lights hovered over the Garden State Parkway northbound. "White/metallic spacecraft ZOOMED towards lights. WOWWWWW," the reporter said.
- Spring Lake, Aug. 4, 10:28 p.m. - "Saw bright light over ocean, just hovering. Then, it just disappeared."
- Delmont, May 27, 2:45 p.m. - "Circle, 10 seconds. White, non-blinking light traveling at a high rate of speed toward the northeast of my position."
- Berkeley Heights, Jan. 27, 9 p.m. - "Round bright light would seem to be still like a star then disappear and reappear after some time. Would also change color looked like it was spinning with blue white colors and change shape, and swiftly and rapidly move in no apparent direction. Sometimes, it would appear higher in the sky and then descend so you can see it bigger, and then smaller in the sky. It has been hanging over the same area for about one month now."
