2 Brick Men Hurt In Lanes Mill Road Crash: Police
Police said both men suffered leg injuries in the crash Thursday morning.

BRICK, NJ — Two Brick Township men were injured Thursday morning in a crash that shut down Lanes Mill Road for more than an hour, police said.
Troy Garrett, 50, and Gregory Grover, 45, both suffered leg injuries in the crash that happened at 7:35 a.m. at the intersection of Lanes Mill Road and Stephan Road, Brick Sgt. Neal Pedersen said.
Grover was driving a white 2013 Land Rover Range Rover north on Lanes Mill Road approaching Stephan Road and the Dorado Plaza when Garrett, who was southbound on Lanes Mill in a red 2002 Ford Taurus, turned left into the Dorado Plaza into the path of the Range Rover, causing the crash, Pedersen said.

Garret, who was extricacted from his car by the Herbertsville Fire Company, suffered a broken leg, Pedersen said, and both men were taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune for treatment. Brick Township police patrol and EMS units responded along with MONOC paramedics and treated the men at the scene.
Traffic on Lanes Mill Road northbound was detoured around the crash scene for about an hour while the Brick Police Traffic Safety Unit investigated, he said. Patrolmen Jay Lampiasi and Joe Farnkopf are continuing to investigate. Anyone who may have witnessed the crash or who has information pertaining to the crash is asked to call Lampiasi at 732-262-1141.
