2 High-End Cars Stolen In Brick After Key Fobs Left Inside: PD
Brick police are urging residents to lock their cars and bring their key fobs inside the house with them.

BRICK, NJ — Brick Township police are urging residents to lock their vehicles and take their key fobs inside their homes after a pair of motor vehicle thefts in the last week in the township.
A newer model Mercedes Benz was stolen from a Princeton Avenue home on Jan. 6, and on Jan. 12, a newer model BMW was stolen from a home off Route 35 in the barrier peninsula part of the township, Brick Capt. Keith Reinhardt said Monday.
In both thefts, the cars were left unlocked and the key fob was in the cars, "making them an easy target," Reinhardt said.

Residents also are reminded to not leave anything of value, including purses, laptops, electronics and other items in plain view. Police urge people to take their valuables in their home instead of leaving them in the car.
Anyone with information regarding the two car thefts is asked to contact the Investigations Division at 732-262-1120.
