Ocean County Couple ID'd In Parkway Double Fatal: Police

The woman was from Brick, and the man was from Toms River, state police said.

ABERDEEN, NJ — A woman and a man from Ocean County have been identified as the victims of a double fatal accident that happened Saturday on the Garden State Parkway, New Jersey State Police confirmed Monday morning.

Kyia Fredericks, 25, of Brick, and Rene Munoz, 29, of Toms River, died in the crash Saturday afternoon near milepost 120.9 in Monmouth County, State Police spokesman Sgt. Jeff Flynn said. A source who did not want to be identified said Fredericks and Munoz were dating.

Fredericks, who was driving, and Munoz were southbound in the express lanes on the Parkway Saturday afternoon in a Camaro when it stopped in the center lane and was hit from behind by a GMC Yukon driven by a Howell Township man, Flynn said.
