Popularity may be the best way to judge a place that can provide the best romantic Valentine's Day evening this year. Patch has the list of places that have been rated the best, and have been visited the most on Feb. 14 in recent years.

Foursquare pulled a list of the restaurants in New Jersey that received the most check-ins on its Foursquare Swarm app on Feb. 14, from 2012-2016.

This list does not solely represent the highest/top-rated restaurants. It also looks at restaurants that were most popular and received the most visits on Valentine's Day in their respective years.
