4 AYF Cheer Teams From Brick Honored By Mayor, Council
Two won national championships and the others placed high at the competition in December.

BRICK, NJ — Four teams of cheerleaders from Brick were honored Tuesday night for their successes at the American Youth Cheer national championships in Florida in December.
Two teams from the Brick Memorial Mustangs and two from the Brick Dragons AYC organizations were honored with resolutions and certificates, and also with a fire truck escort to the municipal building.
"Even we were caught off-guard by that," Mayor John G. Ducey said, laughing, as he praised the fire companies for supporting the girlls. "We heard the sirens and didn't know what was going on."
