4 Stolen Cars Found In Midstreams Burglaries Probe In Brick: PD

Police are continuing to search for the person or people who broke into numerous vehicles and urged people to lock their cars.

BRICK, NJ — Brick Township police are continuing to investigate a series of car burglaries in the Midstreams section that included four stolen vehicles and numerous cars that were riffled through.

The four stolen vehicles have been recovered, Sgt. James Kelly said Thursday, but officers are continuing to try to find those involved.

On Wednesday, police asked residents in the area east of Jordan Road with security cameras to contact them in case surveillance videos captured images of the people responsible. The roads specified included Harbor Road, Hartford Place, Cedarstream Place, Shadow Way, Robin Hood Road, Midwood Drive, Field Place, Joie Place, Nicholas Road, Carroll Fox Road and the surrounding area, police said on the department's Facebook page.

"Please review them for suspicious persons and criminal activity," police urged in the Facebook post. "If you find something noteworthy, contact Detective Sgt. James Burgess at 732-262-1116."

Police also urged people to lock their vehicles and bring key fobs and other valuables inside their homes.
