6 Face Drug Charges After Brick Street Crimes Unit Arrests
The Brick Township Police Department's Street Crimes Unit made the arrests in the second half of March.

BRICK, NJ — The Brick Township Police Department's Street Crimes Unit made the following arrests in the second half of March.
Brick Sgt. Jim Kelly released the following details:
On March 16, Street Crimes Unit detectives, working with the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Strike Force, arrested three people following a motor vehicle stop about 11 p.m. on Lanes Mill Road.

The driver, Apostolos Xinaropoulos, 34, of Brick, was charged with two counts of possession of a heroin and loitering to distribute or obtain a controlled dangerous substance; he was later released on a summons pending further court action. Ronald Rule, 51, of Brick, one of his passengers, was charged with two counts of possession of heroin, intent to distribute heroin, distribution of heroin, tampering with evidence, loitering to distribute or obtain a CDS, failure to make lawful disposition of a CDS and contempt of court. Rule taken to the Ocean County Jail. Tair Jordan, 30, of Brick, who also was a passenger, was charged with possession of heroin, possession of paraphernalia, loitering to distribute or obtain a CDS, and two counts of contempt of court. Jordan also was taken to the Ocean County Jail.
On March 24, detectives arrested Anthony Hamilton after a motor vehicle stop about 7 p.m. He was charged with being under the influence of a CDS, driving while impaired, obstruction of justice and multiple traffic violations. Hamilton was taken to the Ocean County Jail to be held on the criminal warrants. During the transfer to jail, Hamilton was found to be in possession of heroin and crack, and was additionally charged with possession of heroin and crack, intent to distribute, and failure to make lawful disposition of a CDS.

On March 30, detectives arrested two people following a motor vehicle stop about 10:30 p.m. The driver, Beloved Russell, 20, of Lakewood, was charged with possession of MDMA, possession of a CDS in a motor vehicle, and various traffic violations. The passenger, Jose Mercado Jr., 21, of Lakewood, was charged with possession of MDMA. Both were released on summonses.
