Police say the boat was left drifting in the Metedeconk River in April.

BRICK, NJ -- Brick Township police are seeking the owner of a boat abandoned at the Glenwood Road municipal boat ramp in April.

In a post on the department's Facebook page, police said the boat was left at the ramp on April 17. A small pickup truck was seen pulling up to the ramp, and the boat was set adrift in the Metedeconk River, police said.

The boat is a 23-foot yellow 1969 Formula, and it drifted in the area until it became partially submerged at the ramp, police said. It had been stripped of its engine and other mechanical equipment, police said.
