Adamston Road Closed In Brick, Police Say

BRICK, NJ — Brick Township police are urging drivers to avoid Adamston Road Friday afternoon due to emergency activity.

The alert, sent out about 2:05 p.m., said the road is closed from Drum Point Road through Old Adamston Road.

Police did not say how long the closure would last and did not provide details on the emergency activity but said drivers should find alternate routes.

Residents told Patch that wires were down, and the First Energy outage website showed more than 1,100 homes without electricity in the area as of 3 p.m.
