Elementary school students are not eligible, they said.

Registration is open through Friday, May 8.

Campers will be selected through a lottery system with priority given to first-time participants and those who are 13 years old.

The camp accepts about 50 students, and letters notifying families of acceptance into the camp will be emailed or mailed by the end of May, officials said.

The camp is scheduled to run from Friday, July 24 through Tuesday, Aug. 4, finishing with the graduation ceremony at National Night Out on Aug. 4.

The camp will run from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Ocean County Park on Route 88 in Lakewood.

You can register your child here for a chance to participate in the camp.
