BRICK, NJ — Mark your calendars: The SummerFest Concert Series is back for another year in Brick.
The popular series, sponsored by Pine Belt Cars, opens July 2 at Windward Beach Park with a performance by Super Trans Am as part of the town's America’s 250th Birthday celebration weekend. Super Trans Am plays some of the greatest arena rock anthems of all time.
The July 2 concert will finish with a patriotic fireworks display, and the special opening night concert is presented by Hackensack Meridian Health’s Ocean University Medical Center.
The rest of the schedule is as follows:
SummerFest evenings include food vendors, a beer and wine garden for those 21 and older, and fireworks at the end of each show, weather permitting.
SummerFest concerts begin at 5:30 p.m. with the music starting at 7 p.m.
Free shuttle service is available because parking is limited at Windward Beach Park.
Shuttles, which are sponsored by Brightview Senior Living, will provide transportation to and from Drum Point Elementary School, Veterans Memorial Middle School, Midstreams Elementary School, Lanes Mill Elementary School, and Brick Township High School.
People are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets to the series and coolers and chairs on the shuttles. No alcohol is permitted in coolers or bags; all coolers and bags subject to search.
Children ages 17 and younger must be accompanied by an adult on the shuttle buses, and that will be strictly enforced by the Brick Township Police Department.
