The crash remains under investigation, Wall police said.

Guarino was a student at Brick Memorial High School, his cousins Gabrielle and Gianna Masucci wrote in a GoFundMe campaign created to raise money to pay for his funeral.

"He had his whole life ahead of him, and his loss has left our family, friends, and community completely heartbroken," they wrote.

"Joshua was an adventurous, caring, and bright young man who brought so much light into the lives of those around him," they said. "He will always be remembered for his warmth, his smile, and the love he shared with his family and friends."

"Our family is devastated by this sudden and unimaginable loss. During this incredibly difficult time, we are coming together to honor Joshua's life and give him the funeral and burial he deserves," they wrote.
