BRICK, NJ — The Brick Recreation Department is accepting registrations for its fall preschool programs.
The Brick Township Council set the fees for the 2026-27 Jump Start and Bright Start programs that kick off in September at a recent council meeting.
The Bright Start program is for children who will be 3 years old on or before Oct. 1, 2026, and who are fully potty-trained.
It is offered as three days per week or two days per week for the full school year in a structured classroom setting.
Children will be introduced to alphabet skills, numbers and counting skills, shapes/color recognition and physical education. There are several in-house visits during the year, parties and family events. Children will learn social and academic skills while participating in a variety of activities and open play.
The three-day program is Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. and costs $1,320 per year with four payments of $267.50 and a $250 non-refundable deposit.
The two-day program is held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is $880 for the year with three payments of $210 and a $250 non-refundable deposit.
The Jumpstart program is the Pre-K class for children who are 4 years old by Oct. 1, 2026 and is held five days a week from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Children must be completely potty-trained.
"In this structured classroom children will participate in a full-year program consisting of academic and social skills. Our curriculum consists of language/alphabet/writing skills, math/numbers/counting skills, science, social studies and physical education," the program description says.
The program includes several trips, parties and family events, along with a "preschool prom" and the annual preschool graduation ceremony.
The program is $2,100 per year or four payments of $462.50 with a $250 non-refundable deposit.
