Brick cops seize $15K in suspected stolen tools from work van burglaries (app.com) — Brick police say they recovered about $15,000 in suspected stolen tools after investigating a string of work van burglaries on the township's north side, leading to charges against a local man. Detectives also linked the case to several vehicle burglaries in neighboring Point Pleasant, and authorities are continuing to sort out the full scope of the thefts.
4. NJ hospital prices: These two Shore hospitals won't tell you enough (app.com) — Ocean University Medical Center in Brick is among New Jersey hospitals that an advocacy group says still aren't fully complying with federal rules requiring clear, upfront price disclosures for common procedures. While the hospital's parent company insists it meets transparency guidelines, the report suggests Brick patients may still struggle to compare real costs and shop for more affordable care locally.
5. Gymnastics Top 10 rankings for Sept. 24: The Hills shake things up (nj.com subscription) — Brick Memorial's gymnastics team is off to a perfect 5-0 start, highlighted by strong performances from Shea Wagner on bars and floor as statewide rankings place the Mustangs eighth in New Jersey. The roundup also previews upcoming meets, including Brick Memorial's Sept. 29 home matchup against Manasquan, and shows how other top programs stack up early in the season.
