Another Spectacular Beach Day Ahead In Ocean County

Sunny skies, low rip current risk forecast.

Bring the sunblock and head for Ocean County’s beaches.

The National Weather Service is forecasting more sunny skies and a low risk of rip currents for the first day of the weekend.

Temperatures will be in the low 80s, with northwest beach winds around five miles per hour, becoming southeast in the afternoon.

Waves will be around two feet, with southeast swells of two feet. The surf temperature is 76 degrees.

The UV index is a nine, which the NWS considers very high.

There‘s a low risk of rip currents, but strong currents are still possible near piers and jetties. Swim in areas staffed by lifeguards and check with them about any surf zone hazards..

High tide at Barnegat Inlet will be at 3:25 p.m. Low tide will occur at 9:58 p.m.
