ATM Skimmer Warning Issued As Brick Police Seek ID

Authorities are urging people to take extra care before using ATMs and seeking help identifying a suspect in a skimming case.

BRICK, NJ — Brick Township police are urging people to take extra care using ATMs after a recent skimming incident.

They also are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man in connection with the placement of a skimming device.

"When using an ATM, please use the tips located in the photos attached prior to inserting your bank card and inputting your PIN number into the machine," police said in a post on Facebook. (The photos are below.)

"If you see something that looks suspicious, please call the Brick Police Department at 732-262-1100 and report it to the store immediately," police said.

Police also shared photos of a skimming device, but it was not immediately clear if it was the device used in the incidents.

Anyone who recognizes the man is asked to call Detective Ryan Talty at 732-262-1170.
