Avery's Carnival to help a Brick Township 4-year-old girl
Dance to Inspire Foundation in memory of Avery J annual fundraiser

The Dance to Inspire Foundation in memory of Avery J. announces the 11th annual Avery’s Carnival to be held on September 29, 2018 at the Brick Police Athletic League on Drum Point Road from 1 pm -5 pm. This year’s Avery’s Carnival will be dedicated to helping four-year-old Lucia Graf, a Brick Township preschooler diagnosed with biphenotypic Acute Leukemia. Avery’s Carnival is a public Jersey Shore fundraising community event for families and children of all ages.
Avery’s Carnival will be a fun-filled Saturday afternoon with rides, bungee games, rock wall, petting zoo, games, crafts, dunk tank, prizes, food, DJ and the New Jersey Circus Center. The New Jersey Circus will be bringing a performing troupe to teach the children how to juggle, walk a tightrope, stilt walk and more. Party Perfect of Farmingdale, and Seashore Amusements of Brick will provide the rides and interactive inflatable attractions. There will be face painting, airbrush tattoos, games, crafts and pumpkins for every child. The cost is $20 for a wristband for all the unlimited fun. KonaIce will be at the carnival and delicious boardwalk style food will be offered for purchase.
The history of Avery’s Carnival began with a beautiful little girl named Avery Judith who loved her Saturday morning dance class, and was diagnosed with medulloblastoma, a rare form of brain cancer. She lost her battle in 2008, the same year that she was diagnosed. Each year, the Dance to Inspire Foundation raises money to help local children and adults who are ill from cancer or a serious disease and makes a donation to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in Avery’s name.

For adults, this year’s carnival will have a gift basket raffle with prizes from local Jersey Shore restaurants, tickets to local attractions, and great gifts from local Jersey Shore businesses. Dance to Inspire Foundation’s off-premise 50/50 raffle will also be launched on this day for the drawing to be held on December 1st just in time for holiday shopping. Fifty percent of the proceeds will be split into three prizes.
“I truly believe that Avery is always looking over us on her day and we are grateful to our donors who have been with us from the beginning. Avery inspires us to do the work we do for others,” shared Michele Hulsart, the executive director of the Dance to Inspire Foundation. The foundation truly appreciates the volunteers who come out to work this day and the generosity of local Jersey Shore businesses to sponsor and provide all the fun.
