Brick Bank Robbery Suspect Assaulted Teller, Police Say
Photos from surveillance cameras were released; he was wearing a mask and sunglasses but is described as having a big nose, police said.
BRICK, NJ -- (Updated, 1:45 p.m.) Brick Township police have released surveillance photos in connection with the robbery of the TD Bank Monday morning.
The suspect in the robbery is a skinny white male in his 40s, Brick Sgt. Neal Pedersen said. He was described as wearing a gray inside-out hooded sweatshirt and light blue jeans and Converse-style sneakers. He was wearing sunglasses and a black neoprene face mask but has “a large nose,” Pedersen said.
The man entered the bank on Cedar Bridge Avenue about 11 a.m. and demanded money from the teller, Pedersen said. The man then went behind the counter and assaulted the teller, he said.

He fled the bank without getting any cash and ran toward the Mr. Tire store, jumping the bushes and running on toward Route 70, Pedersen said.
The teller was not injured and did not require medical treatment, Pedersen said. The suspect did not display a weapon, he said.

The man is still at large; Pedersen said anyone with information about the robbery or the suspect can call Detective Daniel Waleski at 732-262-1170. Waleski and Detective Brian Ulman responded along with the FBI from the Red Bank office.

The Ocean County Sheriff’s Office is assisting with the search for the suspect, who was described as a white male with a slim build wearing a gray hoodie and blue jeans. He was last seen on foot headed west toward Mr. Tire, according to the scanner reports.
