BRICK, NJ — A 10-year-old Brick resident who is battling brain cancer will be honored Friday night as a pair of youth baseball teams try to raise awareness of childhood cancer and help raise money for research.

The teams will be wearing gold, the color used to represent childhood cancer, and there will be a donation bucket and a cap sale going on during the game. The caps, authentic New Era caps with a variety of MLB, NFL, NHL, NCAA and Marvel/Disney character themes, will be on sale for $5 apiece, organizers said.
"We will be dedicating the game to Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and 100 percent of what we raise during this game will be donated to Marino family," organizers said.
