Battle of Brick Goes to Dragons

Carmen Sclafani connected with Simon Bingelis for a touchdown a minute before halftime, and in the second half it was all about the Dragons, as Brick Township won the battle for township bragging rights with a 42-0 victory over Brick Memorial on Saturday.

Sclafani added a long run up the middle for Brick’s second score and completed a 40-yard touchdown to Joe Phillips down the Brick sideline as the Dragons, coming off a state sectional championship last fall, opened the season strong.

“We worked real hard all offseason,” Sclafani said. “It went the way we thought it would.”
