BCCT presents The Little Mermaid

BCCT is set to take audiences on an adventure “under the sea” with Ariel and all of her aquatic friends in Disney’s The Little Mermaid at the Strand Center for the Arts on July 29, 30 and 31.

Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen's most beloved stories and the classic animated film, Disney's The Little Mermaid is an inspiring and fun-filled story for all ages. In a magical kingdom beneath the sea, the beautiful young mermaid Ariel, King Triton's youngest daughter, longs to leave her ocean home to live in the world above. Ariel wishes to pursue the human Prince Eric and bargains with the evil sea witch, Ursula, to trade her tail for legs. But the bargain is not what it seems and Ariel needs the help of her colorful friends Flounder the fish, Sebastian the crab and Scuttle the seagull to restore order under the sea.

See the story of The Little Mermaid unfold, under the Direction of Heather Campagno, with a cast of interesting characters artfully depicted by talented BCCT Actors. The cast features Sydney Burton as Ariel, Tommy Gedrich as Prince Eric, Marissa Paolella as Ursula, Corey Barthelemy as Sebastian, Ella Zarrilli as Flounder, AnnieRose DiMurro as Scuttle, Michael Luckhowec as King Triton, Julianna Ciulla as Flotsam, Rebecca Cairns as Jetsam, and Jared Pesciotta as Grimsby.

The Little Mermaid features several classic songs including “Under The Sea,” “Kiss The Girl” and “Part of Your World,” as well as new songs written by Oscar-winning Disney composer Alan Menken. BCCT’s rendition promises unbelievable music, mesmerizing scenery, dazzling costumes and high-flying action!

Come enjoy this entertaining and exciting musical with the entire family presented by BCCT at the Historic Strand Center for the Arts in downtown Lakewood. The show runs July 29, 30, and 31 with performances at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and two matinee shows at 2:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Ticket prices are $18 for adults; $16 for students and seniors; and $14 for children 12 and under plus a $1.50 service fee per ticket. Per the Strand's ticket policy, all attendees need a ticket regardless of age. No strollers or carriages will be allowed inside the theater. The show is not recommended for children under the age of three as the run time is just under three hours with intermission.
