Beach And Surf Report: August 18, 2015
Mostly sunny skies, but moderate rip current risk forecast for today.

Take advantage of the beautiful weather today and head for the beach.
The National Weather Service is predicting mostly sunny skies with highs in the mid-80s. Beach winds will be from the south at 10 miles per hour.
Waves will be around three feet, with east swells around two feet. The surf temperature is in the low to mid-70s.
There’s a moderate risk of rip currents, which means wind or wave conditions can support stronger or more frequent rip currents. Swim only in guarded areas and always have a flotation device with you.

The UVI index today is an 8, which the NWS considers very high. There is no lightning threat.
High tide at Barnegat Inlet occurred at 10:53 a.m. Low tide is expected at 5 p.m.
