Beach And Surf Report: August 22, 2015
Sunny skies, low risk of rip currents forecast for today.

Nice beach weather has arrived just in time for the weekend.
The National Weather Service is calling for mostly sunny skies with temperatures in the low 80s. Beach winds will be from the north at 10 to 15 miles per hour.
Waves will be around three feet, with east swells of two to three feet. The surf temperature is 75 degrees.

There’s a low risk of rip currents. But strong currents can still occur near piers, jetties and other areas, especially during the low tide cycle. Swim only in guarded areas and talk to guards about any hazards in the surf zone.
There is no lightning threat today. However, the UVI index is a 7, which the NWS considers high.

High tide at Barnegat Inlet is expected at 1:43 p.m. Low tide will occur at 8:18 p.m.
