Beach And Surf Report: August 26, 2015
Sunny skies, low humidity, moderate risk of rip currents forecast for today.

When it comes to beach days, it doesn’t get much better than this.
The National Weather Service is calling for sunny skies with a high around 80 degrees. Beach winds will be from the northwest around five miles per hour in the morning, switching over to the southwest at 10 miles per hour in the afternoon.
Waves will be around three feet, with southeast swells of around two feet. The surf temperature is in the mid-70s.

There’s a moderate risk of rip currents, which means wind or wave conditions support stronger or more frequent rip currents. Always swim in guarded areas and have a flotation device with you in the water.
There is no lightning threat forecast for today.
High tide at Barnegat Inlet was at 5:06 a.m. Low tide will occur at 11:20 a.m.
