Beach And Surf Report: July 16, 2015
Sunny skies ahead, but rough surf conditions predicted.

Although today will be sunny and cooler, the National Weather Service is calling for heavy surf and a moderate risk of rip currents.
The high today will be in the mid-70s, with northeast winds of 10 to15 miles per hour. The surf temperature will be around 74 degrees.
Waves will reach heights of five feet, with northeast swells of around four feet. The rip current risk for today is rate moderate. Swimmers are advised to swim only in areas guarded by lifeguards.”
“A moderate risk of rip currents means wind or wave conditions support stronger or more frequent rip currents,” the NWS says. ”Always have a flotation device with you in the water.”

High tide at Barnegat Inlet will be at 8:38 a.m. Low tide will be at 2:46 p.m. High tide this evening will be at 8:52 p.m.
