High temperatures, low rip current risk forecast for today.

Relief is on the way.
The stifling weather of the past several days will break by Wednesday, with cooler temperatures and sunny skies, according to the National Weather Service.
But we have to get through today first. Today will be partly sunny with a high in the lowers 90s. There’s a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms.

Beach winds will be from the southwest at five to 10 miles per hour. Waves will be around two feet, with a south swell of two feet. The water temperature is 75 degrees.
The weather service is calling for a low rip current risk today, but strong currents are still possible, especially near piers and jetties during the low portion of the tide cycle.
High tide at Barnegat Inlet will occur at 12:17 p.m. Low tide will occur at 6:17 p.m.
