Beach And Surf Report: July 22, 2015
Sunny skies, less humidity, low rip current risk forecast for today.

Although the temperatures will still be in the upper 80s today, the sweltering humidity and poor air quality are gone.
Beach winds will be from the northwest at 10 to 15 miles per hour. The surf temperature is 76 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
Waves will two feet high, with swells of 2 feet. The rip current risk is low, but strong currents can still occur near piers and jetties and during the low tide cycle.
”Swim in areas where lifeguards are present and talk with them about any hazards in the surf zone,” the NWS says.

Bring the sunblock. The UV index is 9, which the weather services classifies as very high.
High tide at Barnegat Inlet is at 1:01 pm. Low tide is at 7:06 p.m.
