Sunny skies, nice temps and low rip current risk forecast.

Time to hit the beach again, folks.
The National Weather Service is calling for sunny skies with comfortable temperatures in the low 80s. Beach winds will be from the west at five miles per hour, so don’t forget the bug spray to keep the blackflies away.
Waves will be around two feet, with south swells of two feet. The water temperature is 76 degrees. The UV index is 8, which the National Weather Service rates ”very high.”

The good news is the rip current risk is low today, as it has been all week. But the NWS says strong currents can still occur near piers and jetties, especially during the low tide cycle.
High tide at Barnegat Inlet is at 2:33 p.m. Low tide will occur at 8:59 p.m.
