Mostly sunny skies, but moderate rip current risk forecast.

Beware of the rip.
The National Weather Service is calling for mostly sunny skies with a chance of an afternoon thunderstorm. Highs will be in the mid-80s. Beach winds will be from the south at five to 10 miles per hour, increasing to 10 to 15 miles per hour in the afternoon.
Waves will be around two feet, with southeast swells of two feet. The surf temperature is 75 degrees.

There is a moderate rip current risk, which means that wind and wave conditions support stronger or more frequent rip currents.
Swimmers are advised to swim only guarded areas and always have a flotation device with them.

The weather service is predicting a UVI index of 9, which is rated very high. So bring the sunblock.
Low tide at Barnegat Inlet will be at 11:45 a.m. High tide will occur at 6:01 p.m.
