Beach And Surf Report: July 6, 2015
Rip current risk low, but strong currents can occur in certain areas.

Although the National Weather Service is predicting a low rip current risk for today, bathers are urged to stay in areas with lifeguards, since some strong currents are possible.
”Strong currents can occur near piers and jetties, the NWS said. “Rip currents are possible elsewhere, especially during the lower portion of the tide cycle. Swim in areas where lifeguards are present and talk with them about any hazards in the surf zone.”
Beach winds will be from the southeast at five to 10 miles per hour. Waves will be from two to three feet. The ocean temperature will be in the upper 60s to the lower 70s.
