Beach And Surf Report: September 14, 2015
Chilly temps this morning, but the ocean water is still warm.

Editor’s note: Since some Ocean County beaches are still open and guarded on certain days, Patch will continue to publish the Beach and Surf Report through September.
Although some Ocean County residents woke up to temperatures in the fifties this morning, the ocean water temperature is still 75 degrees.
So if you’re lucky enough to have this beautiful day off, you can still head to a Ocean County beach. Just take off your parka before you head into the water.

Things will warm up later. The National Weather Service is calling for temperatures in the mid-70s. Beach winds will be from the west at 15 to 20 miles per hour.
Waves will be around three feet, with northwest swells of three feet. The rip current risk is low, but strong currents can still occur near piers, jetties and other areas, especially during the low tide cycle. Swim only in guarded areas.
