Beach And Surf Report: September 4, 2015
Partly sunny skies, brisk winds, moderate risk of rip currents forecast.

It’s the last day before the final holiday weekend of the summer of 2015. So hit the beach if you can.
The National Weather Service is calling for partly sunny skies with highs in the md-80s. Beach winds will be from the northeast at 10 to 15 miles per hour.
Waves will be from three to four feet, with southeast swells of around two feet. The surf temperature has dropped a degree from earlier this week, to 74 degrees.

There’s a moderate risk of rip currents, which means wind or wave conditions support stronger or more frequent rip currents. Always swim in guarded areas and have a flotation device with you in the water.
The UVI index is a 6, which the weather service considers high.

There is no lightning threat today.
Low tide at Barnegat Inlet was at 6:56 a.m. High tide will occur at 1:04 p.m.
