Bike Safety Rodeo Offers Fun, Tips For Brick Children

The police department is accepting registration for the second annual Bike Safety Rodeo.

BRICK, NJ — The Brick Township Police Department is holding its second annual Bike Safety Rodeo on May 2.

The free event for Brick Township students in kindergarten through eighth grade is designed to help teach youngsters bicycle safety while having fun.

It is set for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Drum Point Elementary School, 41 Drum Point Road. The rain date is May 3.

"We’re packing the day with everything your child needs for a safe riding season," the police department said.

There will be free bike inspections and professional helmet fittings and rules-of-the-road instruction and two practical riding courses.

There will be an ice cream truck and raffles including a chance to win a new bicycle.

People are encouraged to register ahead of time to save time the day of the event. You can register your child here.
