Ocean County Girl Missing Since Christmas Found In Brick

BRICK, NJ -- A missing 15-year-old girl who disappeared just after Christmas has been found safe.

Barnegat police reported that she was located in Brick nearly a week after she disappeared. Why she was in Brick was not immediately known, but the girl’s Facebook page indicated she had lived in Brick in 2014.

Dessie Machugh left her residence sometime between 10:30 p.m. on Saturday and 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, police said.

The juvenile temporarily resides in Robbinsville, and was visiting her family in Barnegat for the holiday when she left, police said.

The juvenile had been entered NCIC as a missing person.
