Breton Woods Cleanup Welcoming Volunteers To Help
The "Pick Up Brick" event is welcoming help to clean up the property that had been purchased to prevent the construction of 59 homes.
BRICK, NJ — The Brick Township Environmental Commission will be cleaning up the Breton Woods property on Saturday, Sept. 30.
The property was purchased earlier in the year to preserve it for open space and prevent the construction of a 59-home development.
As part of the agreement with Ocean County to purchase the land, Brick Township agreed to maintain the property.

The litter cleanup is set for 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday. Volunteers can meet at Osbornville Elementary School to help remove unwanted debris from the site.
The cleanup is rain or shine, and there is the potential for another cleanup in Winter 2024.
