Brick 7-Eleven Robber Told Clerk He Had A Gun: Police

Police are searching for the man who robbed the store early Saturday.

BRICK, NJ — Police are searching for a man who robbed the 7-Eleven and threatened the clerk with a gun near the Laurelton interchange in Brick early Saturday morning .

The man walked into the 7-Eleven at 856 Route 70 about 4:30 a.m. and after getting a Snapple from the cooler, approached the counter, Brick Police Sgt. James Kelly said. The man had his right arm concealed in his jacket and told the clerk he had a gun.

He then demanded money, grabbed some from the clerk as the register was open, and left with an undisclosed amount of cash. The man is believed to have left the area on foot, possibly to a waiting vehicle, Kelly said. The clerk was not injured.

The man is described as 5-foot-9 or 5-foot-10, about 180 pounds with a full beard and mustache, wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt, a black wool skull cap, a white T-shirt, white sneakers, and he was wearing a gold chain that hung out of his hoodie, Kelly said.
