Brick Announces Spring Leaf Pickup Schedule For 2017

If you haven't cleaned up your leaves yet, now's the time. Here's when the township will collect them.

BRICK, NJ — If you had to put off raking your leaves in the fall and have been wondering whether the township will pick them up this spring, the answer is yes.

Township officials announced the leaf pickup schedule Monday, and said it will be based on the township's recycling schedule.

Collections will begin on Monday, April 3, officials said. Leaves should be bagged (but do not tie the bags) and bags placed at the curb by 6 a.m. on the day pickups are scheduled to begin, officials said.

  • If your recycling is collected on Fridays, your leaves should be at the curb by Monday, April 3.
  • If your recycling is collected on Mondays, your leaves should be at the curb by Thursday, April 6.
  • If your recycling is collected on Tuesdays, your leaves should be at the curb by Tuesday, April 11.
  • If your recycling is collected on Wednesday, your leaves should be at the curb by Friday, April 14.
  • If your recycling is collected on Thursdays, your leaves should be at the curb by Wednesday, April 19.

Residents are reminded to not put branches, twigs or debris in the bags.

Leaves also can be brought to the township's recycling center on Ridge Road. It is open 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

Township officials said leaves also are accepted at the Ocean County Recycling Center on New Hampshire Avenue in Lakewood.
