Brick Artist's Paintings Garner Solo Show At Ocean County College

Audrey Linstrom, a painter from Brick who works in oil and watercolors, will have a solo show of her artworks at Ocean County College in Toms River beginning Jan. 11 in the Art and Community Building.
The show will be in the second floor gallery of the building and will run until sometime in February, according to a news release. It includes an artist’s reception on Sunday, Jan. 18 from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. Parking will be available in the college’s Parking Lot No. 2.

Linstrom, who studied design and illustration at the Fashion Academy of New York painted commissioned portraits while raising three children as a single parent. She sold works at galleries, banks, and restaurants and designed multimedia displays for Macy’s and Lord & Taylor.
Through her own company, Linstrom Associates, she has hand-painted thousands of evening gowns for New York designers, as well as robes for Christian Dior.

Her other passion is gardening -- which she likens to creating “living paintings” with flowers, shrubs, and ponds. Her award-winning gardens have been featured in the national Garden Conservancy Open Days Program tours.
Audrey’s paintings portray her emotional response to the beauty that surrounds us. Her canvases are filled with charming children, beautiful women, and tranquil settings -- woodland vistas, waterways, and ocean beaches.
