Brick Beaches Opening Saturday; Do You Have Your Badge Yet?

Access ramps are in place and badges are available.

BRICK, NJ -- If you haven't gotten your 2016 Brick Township beach badge yet, now's the time. 

And you can even get them at Brick Beaches I and III, according to township officials. 

Beach badges and parking passes are available for purchase at the two beaches, and are good at any of the township's four beaches: Brick Beaches I, II and III and the bathing beach at Windward Beach Park. They also are available at the township's Recreation Office in the Brick Township Civic Plaza, 270 Chambers Bridge Road.  Regular office hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.  The department can be reached by phone at 732-262-1044.

The beaches officially open with lifeguards on Saturday at 8:45 a.m. for the summer 2016 season.

Beach badges for the 2016 beach season are $25 before and on June 15; the price is $30 after that. Daily wristbands are $5. Season parking stickers are $30.  Daily parking is $5 per day.

Senior citizens and Brick Township residents who will be 65 by Sept. 1, 2016 may receive free daily wristbands for Brick's beaches.  Each individual requesting a beach wristband must provide proof of age (valid driver’s license, birth certificate, county ID Card).  Senior wristbands are available at the beaches, not the Recreation Office.  Residents who will be 65 by September 1, 2016 may also buy a season parking pass for $15.

Beaches are staffed with lifeguards seven days per week from June 13 – Labor Day and are open weekends from Memorial Day until Labor Day.  Beach hours are 8:45 a.m. – 4:45 p.m. Senior Citizens and Brick Township residents who will be 65 by September 1, 2016 may receive free daily wristbands to Brick Township’s beaches.  Each individual requesting a beach wristband must provide proof of age (valid driver’s license, birth certificate, county ID Card).  Senior wristbands are available at the beaches, not the Recreation Office.  Residents who will be 65 by September 1, 2016 may also buy a season parking pass for $15.

BRICK BEACH I

310 Route 35 North.  Amenities include lockers, outdoor shower heads, concessions, parking and restrooms.

BRICK BEACH II

354 Route 35 North.  There are no amenities at Brick Beach 2 including parking.  To access this beach, visitors park at either Brick Beach 1 or 3 and walk to Beach 2.

BRICK BEACH III

440 Route 35 North.  Amenities include bathrooms, concessions and parking.

WINDWARD BEACH PARK

265 Princeton Avenue.  Park amenities include parking, playground, tot lot, volleyball nets, picnic tables, gazebo, fishing and crabbing piers, bocce courts, horseshoe pits.  Admission to park is free; a beach badge is required for bathing area.
