Brick Bike-Pedestrian Plan Information Session Tuesday
The open house Tuesday to gather more information from residents about ways the township can make it easier to bike and walk in Brick.

BRICK, NJ — Would you like to be able to ride your bicycle or walk around Brick Township more than you do now?
Brick Township officials are continuing to work on a township bicycle and pedestrian master plan, which they are using to identify and help to prioritize strategies that will get more people walking and biking in Brick.
The plan, which was first discussed in a November public meeting, is being prepared by township officials in conjunction with the state Department of Community Affairs Local Planning Services office.

The open house begins at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 17 (as in tonight) at Civic Plaza, 270 Chambers Bridge Road. Attendees will have the opportunity to provide feedback. The goal of the plan is to increase walking and biking along with increasing the connectedness of biking and walking routes. Increasing safety for everyone is another goal, officials have said.
“The input that the public provided at our previous open house in November and through the online survey was essential to the plan,” Council President Heather deJong said. "This open house will give residents the chance to see how the plan is developing and to help shape it further."
