BRICK, NJ — Welcome to the May 9 edition of Monday Manual, where we highlight events coming up during the week in Brick.

There are a lot of meetings and events happening in and near Brick this week, starting with the Township Council meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the municipal building, 401 Chambers Bridge Road.

The council meeting agenda includes the introduction of bond ordinances to finance the township's capital projects. The capital budget is set to be amended to include dredging for the Nejecho Beach lagoon, to be funded by a special assessment on the property owners in that neighborhood.

On Saturday, the Brick Farmers Market is expected to make its debut, after the weekend nor'easter led to it being postponed. It is set for 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Windward Beach Park on Princeton Avenue.

Also on Saturday, Brick Township's public works department will be accepting construction material debris at the township's recycling center on Ridge Road. The dropoff begins at 8 a.m. and you must bring your tax bill and driver's license. The dropoff is open only to Brick residents. No contractors will be permitted to drop off material.

Beyond this week, make sure you mark your calendar for May 16, when the Breton Woods residential development application by DR Horton continues before the zoning board. That hearing is at 7 p.m. at the Brick Civic Center, 270 Chambers Bridge Road.
