Woman Injured In Brick Boulevard Crash, Husband Says
The accident happened before 8:30 a.m. near Drum Point Road, according to witnesses and a report.
BRICK, NJ -- A Brick Township woman was injured when her car overturned Thursday morning in a crash on Brick Boulevard, according to a report.
The Jersey Shore Scanner News Facebook page reported the crash about 8:30 a.m. The report said a vehicle had overturned in the accident, which occurred near the intersection of Brick Boulevard and Drum Point Road.
Jim Docimo of Brick said his wife and their 4-year-old daughter were in the car that overturned. His wife was injured but was resting at home after being treated at the hospital. Their daughter was not injured: “The car seat definitely did its job,” he said.

Docimo said in a post on the Brick Patch Facebook page that his wife was driving south on Brick Boulevard near Drum Point Road when a car pulled out of the apartment complex and hit her car, causing it to spin and overturn.
Renee Zullo, a Brick Patch reader who witnessed the crash, praised Brick Township police officers for their response, especially the care they showed for Docimo’s daughter, in a post with a photo to the Patch Facebook page:

“This Police Officer was so gentle to this beautiful little girl this morning when she was in the car that over turned on Brick Blvd...I was very touched to how he handled her until her father came. Job well done sir!!!!!” she wrote.
Firefighters from Breton Woods and Pioneer Hose companies responded to extricate the woman from the vehicle and to clean up a fuel spill, the site noted.
Information on injuries and the cause of the accident was not immediately available.
