Brick Cancels Monday Evening, Tuesday Activities Due To Storm

In the wake of increasing snow predictions for Brick and Ocean County from the National Weather Service, township officials have canceled all Monday evening and Tuesday activities sponsored by the town, according to a post on the township’s Facebook page.

National Weather Service forecasters are calling for 10 to 18 inches of snow for Ocean County as of 3 p.m. Sunday.

Brick officials have canceled the following:

• All Senior Outreach Services activities for Monday and Tuesday.
• Garbage and recycling collection for Tuesday. Garbage and recycling collection is expected to resume Wednesday, with service pushed back to Wednesday for those usually receiving trash pickup on Tuesday.

Residents are urged to remove cars and all portable objects, such as basketball hoops, from the street so that plows can get the streets cleared.
