Brick Council Heads to Normandy Beach For Meeting

Tuesday's council meeting is expected to include officials from the state DEP.

The Brick Township Council is hitting the road this week, heading out to the barrier island section of the township for Tuesday night’s council meeting.

The meeting, set for a 7 p.m. start at the Normandy Beach Improvement Association building on Broad Street, is scheduled to include officials from the state Department of Environmental Protection to address questions related to the ongoing recovery from Hurricane Sandy, according to the homeowners’ association website.

The council has been holding meetings on the barrier island and other parts of town since 2004, in an effort to better engage with the township’s residents, then-Mayor Steven Acropolis said at the time.
