Brick Couple's Miracle Find: An Engagement Ring Lost In Italy
A return vacation trip nine years later led to the amazing discovery of a ring they thought was gone forever, according to a report.

BRICK, NJ — It's a favorite piece of advice for someone who's lost something: Retrace your steps to where you last remember having it to see if it's somewhere along the path.
Usually that applies to looking for your keys or wallet that you put down somewhere in your house but in a momentary distraction, don't remember where you set them. And it usually is limited to the first day or so after you've misplaced something.
For a Brick Township couple, however, retracing their steps nine years later turned up a surprise find of something they thought was lost forever: the woman's engagement ring.

According to an Asbury Park Press report, in 2008 Justin and Margaret Mussel were in San Marco dei Cavoti, a southern Italian town where Margaret’s family owns a home. After a hot day of sightseeing, Margaret realized the engagement ring Justin had given her was not on her finger.
A search for the 1.1 karat, princess-cut diamond came up empty, according to the report, and they thought it was gone forever.
