Brick Eagle Scout Honored At Township Council Meeting

BRICK, NJ — Township officials thanked a Brick Eagle Scout on Tuesday for his work on the community garden.

Ryan Godin's Eagle Scout project was to install two handicapped-accessible raised beds and made other improvements to the community garden at Havens Homestead.

Godin said he worked on sprucing up the garden plots last winter and this spring.

"It took a lot of hard work, and I'm glad that it's finally done and that they're there to help out people so they can now garden," Godin said.

Mayor John Ducey commended Godin at the Brick Township Council meeting on Tuesday.

"This is a giant accomplishment and that's why we like to bring in Eagle Scouts for what they do," Ducey said.
