Brick Election Guide 2019: When, Where, Who's On The Ballot

Find out polling locations, hours, and who is on the ballot in Brick for 2019.

BRICK, NJ — Election Day 2019 has arrived in Brick, with both local and regional races on the ballot for voters to decide.

The Brick Township Council and school board races will draw plenty of attention, but there are county freeholders and the state Assembly as well.

The polls across New Jersey open at 6 a.m. and close at 8 p.m.

Residents will also vote on their two representatives in the New Jersey State Assembly. In the 10th District, there are six candidates: Republicans Gregory McGuckin and John Catalano, Democrats Eileen Della Volle and Erin Wheeler; Ian Holmes running on the "Addressing Systemic Issues" motto and Vincent Barrella, who's running on the "Integrity Experience Leadership" motto.

McGuckin is the incumbent; the second seat belonged to longtime Assemblyman David Wolfe, who is retiring at the end of his current term.

At the Ocean County level, two, three-year terms on the Board of Freeholders are on the ballot. The incumbents, Republicans Virginia Haines and John "Jack" Kelly, are being challenged by Jean Czarkowski and David T. Wright, both Democrats, along with Libertarian Party candidate Daniel Valentine.

In addition, incumbent Sheriff Michael Mastronardy, a Republican, is being challenged for the position by Democrat Gene Davis for the position, a three-year term.

In Brick, there are four, four-year seats up for election on the township council. The Brick Township Board of Education has two, three-year terms up for election, with six candidates seeking the seat.

Where and when do I vote?

Your polling place is included on a sample ballot mailed out to all registered voters. If you're still not sure, or you misplaced that sample ballot, you can look up your polling location on the New Jersey Division of Election's website.

Election Day 2019 is Tuesday, Nov. 5. Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. If you received a vote-by-mail ballot, it must be received at the Ocean County Clerk's office by 8 p.m. on Tuesday.
