Lanes Mill Elementary School's Wendy Kachoogian receives Excellence in Education award presented by 10th District legislators

A third-grade teacher at Lanes Mill Elementary School has been selected as the winner of the 2014 Excellence in Education Award presented by New Jersey’s 10th District legislators.
Wendy Kachoogian received the award from state Sen. James Holzapfel, who presented it on behalf of himself and Assemblymen Dave Wolfe and Greg McGuckin. The trio has annually recognized a teacher within the 10th District “who best exemplifies commitment and dedication to classroom teaching,” according to a news release from Holazpfel’s office.
“Mrs. Kachoogian has established an admirable reputation at Lanes Mill Elementary School. She excels in classroom management and supports her students learning in an enthusiastic and creative environment,” Holzapfel said. “She has dedicated many hours designing innovative and challenging lessons for students including those with learning disabilities. Mrs. Kachoogian stands as a symbol of excellence in teaching and is a model for those who teach or desire to make a difference in our children’s future.”
