One person was injured in the fire on Thursday, the fire company post said.
BRICK, NJ — Brick Township volunteer firefighters rescued a pet dog from a house fire on Thursday, and revived the animal after it was found unconscious, the fire company said.
In a post on Facebook, members of the Laurelton Fire Company shared photos of the incident that happened as firefighters from around Brick battled a house fire on Old Silverton Road.
One person was flown to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries, according to the post.

The post said the homeowner and one dog had been removed from the home before firefighters arrived at the scene, but a second dog was reported missing.
"Members from Pioneer Hose and Brenton Woods made an aggressive interior attack on the fire while members from Laurelton conducted a primary search. An unconscious dog was quickly located and removed from the building," the post said.

The firefighters then applied a pet oxygen mask to the dog and continued to stimulate it while holding the dog's airway open, the post said.
"After a few minutes the dog regained a normal breathing pattern and was able to drink some water," the post said, and both dogs were taken to an emergency veterinarian's office for further treatment.
"While this was ongoing, other units from all fire companies set up a landing zone so an injured party could be transported to the proper medical care," the post said. "The working relationship between the four fire companies in Brick along with Brick PD EMS and Brick PD allow for successful operations like this."
"Protecting all life. Outstanding work by all!" the Brick Fire Safety Bureau said in retweeting the photos.
